Tesla Unveils New Cybertruck Model – But Only in This Surprising Country

Tesla just dropped a surprise that no one saw coming. On April 10th, the EV giant quietly unveiled a brand-new version of the Cybertruck – the Long Range Rear-Wheel-Drive trim. But here’s the twist: it’s not launching in the U.S… at least, not yet.

Instead, Saudi Arabia became the first country to receive this new trim, with Tesla starting deliveries there today. Yes, you read that right. While American fans are still waiting, Saudi drivers are already getting a taste of this new beast on wheels.

What makes this Cybertruck different?

This new trim level is expected to be the most affordable Cybertruck configuration. It was actually the first version shown back in 2019 when Elon Musk originally unveiled the Cybertruck to the world – back then, it was supposed to cost just $39,990.

But Tesla didn’t launch it right away. They prioritized the more powerful, more expensive All-Wheel-Drive versions. Now, the cheaper, single-motor version is finally rolling out — just not where most fans expected.

Here are the key specs of the new Cybertruck trim:

  • Range: 350 miles (563 km)
  • 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph): 6.6 seconds
  • Top Speed: 180 km/h (111 mph)
  • No adjustable air suspension
  • No rear touchscreen
  • Price: Still not listed officially

So why Saudi Arabia first? Tesla hasn’t said — but it might be due to regulatory hurdles like EPA approvals in the U.S.

When is it coming to America?

Tesla still says this version of the Cybertruck is set to launch in the U.S. in late 2025. That could be a game-changer. Many people have held off on buying the Cybertruck due to its high price.

This lower-cost version could finally make it more accessible to the average driver — and supercharge Tesla’s sales numbers in the years ahead.

Tesla fans have been begging for a cheaper Cybertruck, and it’s finally here — just not where most expected. But the fact that it’s real and being delivered means it’s only a matter of time before the U.S. gets it too. This could be the moment Tesla flips the switch on Cybertruck demand worldwide.

Would you buy the Long Range Rear-Wheel-Drive Cybertruck if it launched in your country?
