Tesla sold more electric cars than all other car companies combined in the U.S. in 2024.

Tesla sold almost half of all electric cars (EVs) in the U.S. last year, according to a report by Cox Automotive. This means Tesla sold more electric cars than all the other car companies put together.

In total, Tesla sold 633,762 electric cars in 2024. The next closest competitor was General Motors (GM) with 112,897 electric cars sold.

The two most popular electric cars were both Teslas: the Model Y and Model 3.
